Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park By SGR Train, and Back
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pickup from your hotel or the airport in Dar es Salaam. Travel to the SGR Train Station and embark on a scenic train journey to the Morogoro region (about 1 hour). Upon arrival, your private driver-guide will transfer you 1.5 hours to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy a late morning game drive, exploring the park’s vast savannahs. Keep your eyes peeled for common wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and wildebeest. With luck, you might spot a lion or other predators in their natural habitat. A picnic lunch will be served in a scenic location within the park. In the afternoon, embark on an evening game drive, where the lighting and animal activity provide incredible photo opportunities and unforgettable memories. After your final sightings, return to your vehicle for the drive back to Morogoro and the SGR station.
