A picnic lunch awaits us on one of the rocky outcroppings called kopjes. After an early breakfast, we set out on a morning game drive, maximizing our chances of spotting members of the iconic “Big Five.” Resting at the foot of the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park offers breathtaking and diverse scenery—from golden savannahs and lush shrubbery to flowing rivers alive with wildlife. We’ll pause midday to enjoy a picnic lunch right in the heart of this spectacular reserve.

Lake Manyara’s Soda Lake and surrounding grasslands nurture a remarkably rich ecosystem, supporting a wide variety of wildlife. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted by more than 400 recorded species, including dazzling migratory flocks. The park is also famous for its rare tree-climbing lions and is home to elephants, water buffalo, giraffes, impalas, and hippos.

By late afternoon, we’ll bid farewell to Manyara and drive back to Arusha, passing Maasai bomas, ancient baobab trees, and sweeping savannah plains—a perfect scenic end to an unforgettable safari.
