Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
On the first day of our tour, we explore the beauty of Lake Manyara National Park from Arusha, starting with an early breakfast to maximize our chances of spotting the “Big Five.” Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park offers stunning, diverse scenery, from golden savannah to mighty rivers. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by wildlife, as Soda Lake and the savannah support a rich ecosystem. Lake Manyara is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species, including migratory birds. The park is also home to legendary tree-climbing lions, water buffalo, elephants, giraffes, impalas, and hippos. In the late afternoon, we leave Manyara and head to Arusha, soaking in views of Maasai bomas, baobab forests, and rolling savannah plains. Afterward, we drive back to Mto Wa Mbu / Mto Wa Mbu for an overnight stay and dinner.

Lake Manyara / Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park
We will leave Lake Manyara / Mto Wa Mbu early morning and drive to Serengeti National Park. We will drive to Serengeti on a road near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, allowing for animal sightings along the way. The golden savannah and endless plains, teeming with zebras, wildebeest and giraffes make it easy to understand why the Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. On this day, we will enjoy a picnic lunch on Naabai kopje (a small, rocky hill in a generally flat area), where you will have the opportunity to view the Serengeti’s famous pink-headed lizards. After lunch, we will proceed further into the plains for a leisurely game drive. You will spend the night at the Central Serengeti.

Central Serengeti National Park to North Serengeti (Kogatende)
After breakfast, we'll start our game drive to the Kogatende area, searching around the kopjes looking for carnivores and the large migration groups that will be preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya. Home to large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles, the Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Maasai Mara. If you're patient and a little lucky, you may even get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river's currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety. Dinner and overnight North Serengeti.

North Serengeti National Park (Kogatende) - Serengeti National Park (Central)
We'll start our day immediately after breakfast, driving through the plains of Togoro and the Mbuzi Mawe kopjes on our way to cross the Banagi River into the Seronera region of the Central Serengeti. Along the way, you'll spot everything from the enigmatic dik-diks to towering elephants, and everything in between. The Seronera is often known as 'big cat country', and its kopjes and acacias provide an excellent opportunity to spot prides of lazy lions, sleek cheetahs out on the hunt, and leopards overseeing everything from their lofty perches. The region's hippo pools and wide-open spaces provide ample opportunities for game viewing. Dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti National Park.

Ngorongoro Crater, formed over two million years ago, is a natural animal “oasis” with a high chance of spotting the “Big Five” — lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. The crater is also home to zebras, hippos, wildebeests, hyenas, flamingos, storks, ibis, and cranes. After a memorable afternoon of wildlife sightings, we return to Mto Wa Mbu for an overnight stay.

The wildlife that roams the scenic landscape of the Tarangire includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes and baboons.
