Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its colossal termite mounds and ancient baobab trees. The picturesque scenery and diverse birdlife create a tranquil ambiance, while the great elephant population provides a remarkable sight. The park’s wildlife includes lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetahs, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. After your game drive, you will head to Lake Manyara for dinner and an overnight stay, rounding off a day of incredible wildlife experiences.

Lake Manyara (Mto Wa Mbu) - South Serengeti National Park (Ndutu Area)

The migration safari begins early, with pickup from your hotel in Arusha and a 5.5-hour drive to the Ndutu region, covering 260 km. After 2 hours, you’ll enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape shifts from hilly forests to lush grasslands. Once in Ndutu, enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch. This region is a key part of the annual migration of over 2 million wildebeests, along with zebras, antelopes, and gazelles. During the season in December, January, February, march to April, you’ll witness the calving grounds and predators hunting the young wildebeests. Ndutu Lake and Lake Masek are key waterholes that attract wildlife, especially in the dry season. The game drive ends around 5 PM, followed by dinner at your accommodation, allowing you to rest for another adventure-filled day.

Full Day Game Drive Safari in Ndutu Area

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, part of both Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). Depending on the location of the migration, you will follow it through either NCA or Serengeti. During the season between December and April, you’ll witness the fertile plains turn into calving grounds for the Great Wildebeests Migration, attracting predators hunting vulnerable wildebeest calves. This action-packed day will offer an unforgettable wildlife experience. The game drive will end around 5 PM, and you’ll head to your chosen accommodation for a freshly prepared dinner, ensuring you get some rest for the next adventure.

South Serengeti National Park (Ndutu) to Central Serengeti National Park

The excitement will be high as you make your way into the celebrated Serengeti, the world’s most renowned wildlife park. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll drive through the vast grasslands of the Serengeti, which means "endless plains" in the local language, offering breathtaking views as the grass stretches to the horizon. Spanning 14,763 Sq Km, the Serengeti is home to the glorious Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard). You’ll also spot the beautiful Impala and witness the Serengeti’s impressive “Kopjes,” massive granite boulders amidst the grasslands, sheltering diverse wildlife. During the game drive, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch, and the day ends with a hearty dinner and a restful night’s stay in your accommodation.

Full Day Game Drive Safari in Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will set off on a full day game drive in the wilderness following the Great Wildebeests Migration trails. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania the top safari destination in Africa. Serengeti, a UNESCO world heritage site, is home to around 200,000 zebras, and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, which join in the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Listen to the exotic sounds of over six million hooves pounding the open plains. This is just like you imagined Africa to be. Overnight at your lodge.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Today, by 9AM in the morning you will head out for a short game drive in the Serengeti after a good breakfast. After completing a half day game drive along with a picnic lunch, we will branch out and head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim. The 75-km drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim will take about 2.5 hrs, with mild game action to see on the way. The crater is one of Africa’s impressive geological attraction and supreme mecca of wilderness. The day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation. Get a good rest and refuel yourself, for the following day you will descend into the massive crater.

Ngorongoro Crater then back to Arusha

On the last day of your safari, you will have an early start with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will offer plenty of animal action, including sightings of elephants, buffalo, lions, and more. After a picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the crater’s top exit. The final leg includes a 4-hour drive back to Arusha, where you'll be dropped off at your preferred location by 6 PM. With incredible experiences and memories, you'll say goodbye to your team and overnight at your hotel.
